A new Hilton hotel with at least 360 rooms could be under construction in Buckhead by October, adding more energy to a wave of development in Atlanta's busiest submarket.
The new hotel, originally slated for 300 rooms, could be open within two years, its developers say. …
"What makes this exciting is that there is still room for hotels to grow in Buckhead as they try to capture demand created by the office developments," said hotel consultant Paul Breslin, managing partner with Panther Hospitality Holdings LLC.
The Hilton is the centerpiece of a three-phase development on Peachtree. While just 50 condos will be built in the first phase, the project has the zoning in place for up to 450 condos.
